He is 7 so I'm hoping his dapples last a long while! The little profile pic shows him at 4 so he stayed black for a good while

He was sooo well behaved and I was super proud of him
Another horse did a big shy and lept towards him he got a fright but was more confused than anything else and got over it quickly - I think it took me longer to calm down than him
He his still super unfit and we didnt get through the whole lesson but he did everything I asked and I just couldnt be happier with how he handled the day

Yay for Champ, he handled it like a pro - soo relaxed about the whole thing!
Now I wish I had have taken the camera!

Certainly has been quiet in here lately. Hope everyone has a safe easter holiday weekend coing up.
Just thought I would add some updates on my two, today I decided to do some long reining with the boy. He hasn't done it since being broken in about 5 years ago and I have never done it so figured I have learn one way or the another. After an initial panic attack at the fact that the rope was touching his butt he got over it and did some fantastic work. understood everything I asked and was working happily without any resistance, we even got small figure of eights, u-turns, backing up, leg yielding and negotiating a very narrow gateway. Such a good boy
The girl is back here with me while Ben goes over to Europe and the hard decision has been made to put her on the market, she is also training solid elementary with half pass established, all without any hassels. Hayley Beresford loved her at the clinic and asked if she was for sale, said she owuld make it ot the top under the right rider. Nice to know that she has the potential to go somewhere from someone who is unbiased. lol. So if any one is intersted then PM me. word of warning though she isn't going for a small price
And what is an update without some pics, so here is some of the boy from today.

Yes, it certainly has been quite in here.
Kylie, your young lad looks so relaxed and at ease with life. Well done.
Karashalla, Valiente is growing up fast.
Here are a couple of pics of Spider taken the other day. Getting in some good schooling before I head over to Rolex Kentucky 3DE for a couple of weeks....

and a bit of leg yeild

New to this forum but interested in other adventures with Andalusians or crosses. Only had my girl (TB x Andy) for a few months but she's really lovely although quite a funny horse. She decided that she would walk through the water (with me leading in gum boots) but stopped in the middle, started to Spanish walk on the spot till the two of us were soaked through! I'm sure that she smiled!

BSH.. can't wait to see your pics! Would be great to do the syndicate thing but an offer of $5.95 wouldn't go far I'm assuming!

Do Andalusians grow a nice thick winter coat? I am not a fan of rugs and would prefer my mare to "winter it out" in "cold" Melbourne!

Yes they do. In Spain they are very rarely rugged, even in areas where it snows.
