Congrats EF, I remember being told there was no difference in changing one or two, so you might as well get them over with...I just didn't listen!

My midget had his weigh in yesterday arvo... I think he is going to be a jockey... I challenge anyone to have a litter 2 yo....

83cm tall, 50cm head and a measly 9.8kg at 24months! I was so so sure he had made 10kg (the average baby gets to 10 kg at 10 months) so I was a little sad we hadn't made it... He has only gained 50gm in 11 weeks, so back for another weigh in in 8 weeks time.

Hw big are everyones kids and how old are they? Very Happy

Congrat's EF!

I've got the opposite to you Simo I've got a porker. She's been gaining weight at 50grms a day since birth. At 5 weeks she's almost 5kg. She's got a cousin 2 weeks older who still hasn't regained her birth weight they were born the same weight and there is now a kg difference between them. Both babies are breast fed. I'm hoping it's healthy weight gain she does have an enlarged kidney we've got an appointment with the paeditritician next week.

wait until your carring him around ready to pop!!! thats fun! Elizabeth didnt start walking until i was 9 months preg with Thomas, she was 13 months.

mine are both getting wt next week, should be interesting. I think Thomas is going to be tall for age, he is already in 00 body suits for length even though they hang off him everywhere else! standing him up against Elizabeth he is up to her sholders!... i think Elizabeth will take after me and have ducks disease and Thomas after Steves side!

i cant believe how well the twins look! after all the stress of the start of thier little lives a holiday is what you all need!

BZ, those kids have more hair than me!! Did you have heart burn or can you dispel that myth? Best of luck with Lachie's test results and have a great holiday Smile

DanniB maybe you could PM MollyDuck if you have any questions or feel like venting, I'm sure if she's feeling strong enough herself she'd be more than happy to lend you an understanding ear. You two ladies are inspirational (even if you don't want to be), makes me put mine and others problems into prospective. For now one foot in front of the other and draw strength and joy from the small things. DB only a week to go before your darling little girl is here Smile

Congrats EF! I'm not 100% sure I'll ever have kids but I do hope that I'm able to have them close together if I do!

My daughter had her 4 week old checkup today although she's actually 5 weeks. She's in the top 90% for girls her age in length, head circumference and weight.
My partner and I are average height I'm 164cm and he's 178cm so I'm not sure what's happened with her. My older daughter wasn't as big in any measurement at her 8 week check up (double this one's age) and both were full term babies.

Hopefully OH won't be giving me weird looks tonight when I tell him how big she is.

wow haven't checked in for ages and look at all thats happened. It is so nice reading up on all mum and bubs how you are all going.

Ashton doing so well so loving this age. He pretty much is having basic converstations with us and is up to all sorts mischief using what ever to climb and reach for things he knows he shouldn't have. It is a lovely time he sits still to read books together and helps me look after animals loves over feeding them. Since I am working full time these days I think treasures times we have more.

Here is Ashton playing with our very tolerant dog most think he going to be a horse man way he treats dog finding my clean tea towel to turn into a saddleblanket.

Hi girls,
Our little boy was born last Monday - I wouldn't advise anyone to drive themselves an hour to the hospital once their waters have broken, it is rather difficult to concentrate while having contractions!! Anyway, we got to the hospital with just over 2 hours till he was born - no sitting around knitting and waiting thats for sure!!
After having a bit of a battle about the feeding part of it we're both going really well. That well that his Aunty visited today so I could have a ride on the pony Razz and managed to do some trot Laughing Oh what a joy it is to have the faithful pony who you can rely on to behave and look after you - can't wait till baby Sam can have his first sit on him!
Congratulations to the other new baby's, and enjoy the journey for those who are new to the road trip of pregnancy!!

Congrats to all the New Mummies! I have a friend that is now 41 weeks + 1 day and VERY over it the poor girl! She is humungous and as she chose Midwife care has been told there is no option for her to have an epidural if she wants one now Confused what?! Aren't we allowed to make that decision when the time comes? I was disturbed by this! Especially since she has been told he is a large baby Confused Anyone else heard of this??

Congrat's another Sista on the birth of your baby boy. Your keen to be riding so soon. I had decided to wait until September before riding again but I have to say with the warm weather today I was tempted to have a quick ride around the paddock. My horse looked a bit fresh so I decided to leave it for another day.

Lynz, I had midwife care and didn't have an issue having epidural for both my births. I'm a wus when it comes to pain.

Hey everyone,

How all the buns in the ovens?
I've taken Bella to the doctors about nappy rash twice now, its a little irritating that it's not clearing up and teething sure isn't helping. She cut her first tooth just over a week ago now. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm starting a new job Monday at another training organisation, going to miss Bella like crazy whilst I'm at work, but looking forward to some form of intellectual stimulation Laughing baby talk just doesn't cut it. Wish me luck Smile

Amanda, Have you tried Hydrozole it's an anti fungal cream. I'm pretty sure you can get it over the counter at the chemist. Once it's cleared up use Bepanthen or similar to stop it coming back.

I've tried hydeozole and it minimized it a little, tried cortic DS Ointment and now using daktozin. Bella has free nappy time at home for a couple of hours and I've stopped using baby wipes and using water to wash her off and patting dry. She had no nappy rash in the past until she started teething and I used sudocream or bepanthen at every nappy change prior to the rash appearing.

I'm starting to think I should change to cloth nappies and see if that works.

The hydrozole worked really well for my daughter. I think it took a few days to clear up and I had to use it 3 times a day. If that didn't work I'm not sure what would.

Good luck with going back to work. I'm forced to take 20 weeks off otherwise I'll lose the PPL I think working is easier than looking after a 3 year old and a newborn. I can't wait for the warm weather I'm sick of the rain.

I second that about a toddler and newborn. Lily has coped well with Wil but is really getting into the 2yr old tantrums. Oh the joys, not sure how to manage them but trying to figure it out. Any suggestions.

I am also looking forward to the warmer weather and we have more freedom outside. Daylight savings too then l hope to be out riding!!!

My daughter's three year old tantrums are worse than her two year old one's. Hopefully your daughter is going through the stage earlier. Normally I ignore her when she's having a tantrum. If I'm trying to get her to do something she doesn't want to do I bribe her. "If you get dressed then I'll read you a book or you can watch Dora type of thing. It doesn't always work and I find myself arguing with her. My daughter wears a nappy at night since the baby arrived she argues with me every night she says "i'm not a baby I don't need a nappy". I somehow get it on her. Given she wakes up every morning with a wet nappy I'm not ready to go through that phase.

keep her skin hydrated. ditch the soaps. i used to bathe amber in alpha keri oil and now she's older she uses dove to wash with. anthing else and she has huge outbreaks. also, be aware she's likely to develop asthma as ther eis a link between infantile eczma and asthma. luckily they do grow out of the eczma.

Thanks for that info, we have a family history of asthma, so that will increase the chances too. I use QV bath oil and unscented sorbalene for after her bath. I'm going to switch to QV moisturiser and see if there are any signs of improvement.
