I've just finished reading horses never lie by Mark Rashid and loved both the ideas he talks about as well as the little stories he tells.

Any suggestions for other authors writing stuff about horses like this???

Jojo Moyes "The Horse Dancer"

http://www.jojomoyes.com/

All her books are a great read.

"War Horse" is also a good read. Sad, but not as confronting as the film.

eta: and what about the Classics "My Friend Flicka", "Thunderhead", "The Silver Brumby" etc etc. Some of them are kids books, but still great reads.
