If you could live anywhere in Australia - purely for your horses and riding - where would it be?

Would it be somewhere in Victoria or further North?

Why would you choose that place to live?

What discipline do you practice or compete in?

Trying to think about places to live but for me it would have to be somewhere with a big horse population, not too far from a major town or city and warmer than Melbourne! Laughing

Samford Valley in QLD for me. Beautiful place and only 30 minutes to the CBD. I'm working toward endurance riding with one of mine and there are heaps of great rides there. I think more horsey people are over Anstead way but it's not as pretty as the Samford Valley.

Hunter valley, NSW...lots of green grass, but warmer than VIC. Lots of studs around. Perfectly close to a freeway, and halfway between QLD and VIC.

I love my Quarter Horses!

I lived in Kyneton for a while but there wasn't enough work in the area, and the idea of commuting to Bendigo or Melbourne all the time was just too much!

Although I will admit if it wasn't for that it would of been an amazing place to live with the horses.

I would have to say Shoreham/Mornington Peninsula !! Have seen some horse properties there which you really could only DREAM off
Actually, I have been to some very swish Equestrian places in NSW (Blue Mountain area) and I still dream about them Razz Laughing
One, I stayed at was/is actually for sale but it's just a few million too much ..... can still dream though Very Happy

My OH and I have a house in Wentworth in the Blue Mountains, you're right is absolutely amazing. But SO COLD in winter. Growing up in Indonesia has made me quite a wuss in the cold Rolls Eyes

I'm happy where I am (North West of Tassie) plenty of accessible places to ride (indoors, sand arenas, round yards, trails, beaches, pony clubs) and quite a few good competition grounds.

Pretty happy to be in this beautiful place. Very Happy

No denying its beautiful down there (amazing picture!!) but restricted, like Perth, with access to competitions in different states. That's why I like the East Coast Smile
