Hello everyone Smile
Long time lurker...and i can now, after many years of wanting an ASH proudly post after buying my dream ASH Smile " Nuniong Rhythm'N' Blues"

Archie is a 15.1hh 4 rising 5 chestnut stock horse
He has been under saddle for 2 years and has done some light ARC, some trail riding and a small amount of cattle work

He is a very quiet oblidging little fellow !
We had some err..."issues" with who was boss in the first week i got him home...but he has come ahead in leaps and bounds since, once he trusts you he will do anything you point him at !

I really hope i will have the confidence to bring him on to be the best he can be

I have joined the ASH society, so will become a member of the Warrnambool branch i believe? Any other members on here ? Smile

Ohh also...Archie is by Glen lee Rivoli Asset, out of Nuniong Rhythm
Anybody else have horse with these lines?

Now if only i wasnt so computer illiterate and could upload some photos... Rolls Eyes Very Happy

I have a question about ASH showing

I have a 1st Cross ASH.

I noticed on the programs at show their are no part bred classes but someone did mention to me that if my horse is 1st cross and registered I can show her in the ASH classes.

Is this correct ?

Thanks

They are usually not eligable... go to the ASH website and look your horses registered name up and there is a section on there that will tell you if your horse is eligable for competing Smile
Good luck Smile

Hi guys - just letting you know I have a ASH geld for sale. He's registered, 15.2hh, rising 13yo and bay. Lovely quiet horse to have around, forward moving and responsive to leg aids but also has a great stop.
He's campdrafted, pc, feedlot, mustering, stick & balled, everything basically.
No Vices - just alround lovely. $5500 maybe neg.

Thanks!

All 1st cross ASH are eligible for competition, in any ASH event. The eligibility section of the online studbook may say not eligible for a number of reasons, including the owner not being a current financial member.

Anyway, Hi! Im new to the forum, and Victoria! Im from NSW, where i was involved with ASH events quite heavily, as well as a bit of this and that, im a bit of an alrounder Smile
Not sure what the ASH scene is like in Vic, and unfortunatly I had to leave the horsies behind so ive no idea when ill be getting back into it.

Ill put a few pics up, (sorry theres actually quite a lot haha )

This is my main guy, ASH Gelding "shad"

Hello everyone, i have a few in Ballarat, Victoria. 2 colts and i have sold my stallion back in May. I have put a photo of him in as someone might be interested in using him for a foal. He is a champion ASH at Tamworth this year placing 9th overall in maturity and getting best Stallion..lovely smart black boy. Currently his service fee is being advertised at $990, but im selling my services to him for $650 each for quick sale. He truely is a rippa horse and someone will be getting a bargain (S)
I also have Myee Captain and Loriot Champagne Diamond, these two are more showy types, yet will be used down the track for everything.

I hope you like and hopefully we some more Commando foals on the ground next year!

thanks Deb

Hi guys,
I'm looking at putting my ASH mare in foal at some stage and wondered if anyone has some suggestions as to a good ASH stallion?
She's 15hh and a maiden so I was thinking something around 14.2?? Not really sure as it will be my first foal too. However, the stallion must be super quiet, easy to handle and be known for handing this down to his progeny.
Thankyou!! Any suggestions will be appreciated! Very Happy

Hi

I actually have no idea! He's not registered as far as we know. He was bought for my younger sister just as a horse to use at home. Was told he was ASH, but he's very stocky so I wouldnt be surprised if theres some QH in there. Sometimes he looks a little arabey too so its anyones guess Razz

Exactly that Very Happy Going to be a show hack, unsure whether she can jump yet or not. But she's lovely and very soft. Was broken in by Karl dunnings from QLD so had the best start possible Smile

Completely Insane
Hi, I am new to this part of the forum, but thought I would post some pics of my new boy Baz, he is rising 7 registered stock horse. I have only had him for 4 weeks and we are both learning about each other at the moment. We have been on some lovely trail rides together.

Yep I'm just about to venture into the brave new world of ASH showing, haven't showed since I was a kid and can remember thinking it was all too much hastle. More interested in the working classes, but figured since I'll be there I may as well have a go at lead and hack classes.

Not sure if this would interest anyone but i currently have a stock horse gelding for sale, and his price is pretty neg!

LONGYARD CADDET

Caddy is a 15.1 Bay Stock horse gelding with four white socks and blaze he is 12 years old and willing to please.

Caddy has been in full work for the past month and in and out of before that for about 2 years, He is curently going very well.

Caddy knows all his lateral work, leg yeald, shoulder in, flying changes, walk to canter and does these very well.

Caddy is farward moving and loves to work and would be best suited to someone who is a Confident quiet rider and willing to work with him as he IS farward moving, Caddy is looking for someone to love him and take him through the grades again.

Caddy has three lovely paces with ground covering movement.

Caddy has previously Eventer and is a very bold and carful jumper currently jumping around 1m and has a very natural scope.

Caddy is good to catch, shoe, truck, float Tie up and he doesnt move a foot when being saddled.

Caddy has been to pony club recently and didnt put a foot wrong jumping everything that was put infront of him, he is for sale through no fault of his own, and would be ideal for for a confident rider who wants an all rounder.
Caddy is good on the roads with others and by himslef
