PORTABLE HORSE YARDS

index.php?t=getfile&id=442436&private=0

Welcome to our advert for our portable horse yards. We have been designing and making portable horse yards for 8 years.

The business started off with Neil designing and constructing yards and selling through the mediums of local newspapers and the Vic Horse Forum.

Later on in 2008 Neil started advertising on ebay with the user name neiimii. All transactions and dealings were done through myself, Jodie (Daughter of Neil). Since the beginning we have sold many many yards and have received great feedback and great ideas, which has contributed to an even better product that we can offer.

Since Neil has stepped out of the family business, we have restructured our goals and desires and have structured a business called G N Around. This business currently trades under our family company and will be offering an easy to use website which is under construction.

This website will be showing not only horse yards but many more products including, hay feeders, feed bins, portable wash bays, portable stables etc, so watch this space Very Happy

We are more then happy to offer a tax invoice for any purchases. If you wish to view feedback from our previous ebay user name, please follow this link

http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;userid=neiimii&ftab=AllFeedback

Our yards reach the EFA guidelines of 1.2 metres high. You can view the guidelines at this link: http://www.efa.com.au/

Our yards are always designed with the safety of the horse as a priority. After careful consideration and research on whether to have round corners or square corners, we have decided that square corners are better suited to the horses safety.

After reading a discussion on this topic

http://vichorse.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=109283& prevloaded=1&S=72875fba3c256f41b601122047266f5e&star t=0

we decided that this makes perfect sense that a horses leg (or any loose fitting equipment) may become wedged between the panels as the round edge can guide the object into the space between the panels.

Our yards are becoming very popular. This is due to the fact that they are economical, lightweight and strong.

We wanted to make yards that everyone can afford, anyone can use and that will keep any horse in. A child could set these yards up on their own. Each panel weighs less then 5 kg

Panels are 20 mm x 20 mm galvanised steel. Each weld is also coated in molytech silvagal cote for added protection.

index.php?t=getfile&id=442438&private=0

Our connecting pins are designed as a non removeable item, which works great when transporting the yards. Unlike other designs that have permanately welded pins to connect their yards, ours are designed to be able to be altered in height of up to 100mm to allow for levelling on uneven ground. When the pins are in place the panels can pivit 180 degrees and allows each panel to be used as a gate.

Each panel can also be secured to the ground with ground pegs for extra stability.

Panels

Each set is sold excluding float mounts.

2 rail panel systems

Set of 6 panels, 2 rail (1.2m h x 1.6m w)
$285.00 per set
$49.00 per extra panel

2 rail panel systems (Pony Panels)

Set of 6 panels, 2 rail (0.9m h x 1.6m w)
$270.00 per set
$47.00 per extra panel

3 rail panel systems

Set of 6 panels, 3 rail (1.2m h x 1.6m w)
$310.00 per set
$53.00 per extra panel

Set of 6 panels, 3 rail (1.5m h x 1.6m w)
$325.00 per set
$55.50 per extra panel

Set of 6 panels, 3 rail (1.7 h x 1.6m w)
$340.00 per set
$58.00 per extra panel

Float Mounts

[size=3]We have come up with a design that has not been advertised anywhere else.

Our float mounts are designed with a quick release latch and also comes with an added lockable feature.

This limits the loss of Tie down straps and the rattling of chains that other mounts offer.

index.php?t=getfile&id=442437&private=0

They can easily be locked with a padlock.

Float mounts are designed to take up to 8 panels and we recommend 2 mounts per yard set, however in some cases we have been able to supply extra mounts to carry greater capacity.

Float mounts with a set of yards (6 or more panels)
$60.00 each mount

Float mounts without a set of yards
$80.00 each mount

Round Yards

10 metre Round Yard (19 panels)

$988.00 (1.2m h x 1.6m w)
$1035.50 (1.5m h x 1.6m w)
$1083.00 (1.7m h x 1.6m w)

15 metre Round Yard (29 panels)

$1500.00 (1.2m h x 1.6m w)
$1575.00 (1.5m h x 1.6m w)
$1650.00 (1.7m h x 1.6m w)

20 metre Round Yard (39 panels)

$1872.00 (1.2m h x 1.6m w)
$1969.50 (1.5m h x 1.6m w)
$2067.00 (1.7m h x 1.6m w)

Transport can be arranged (at buyers cost) anywhere in Australia. Freight is very economical.

Shocked

I'd love to have a squizz at these. With young horses, and the difficulty of securing a yard, this would put my mind at ease when I'm busy judging, knowing my horse is in his own yard.

I'm heading up to Wodonga next week, so would that be convenient for your dad ?

Learns4life, I have just been reviewing your question and thought that I could offer a little more information.

The pins are usually separate but can be attached to the panel by a chain and held in place for transport, they are then inserted during erection.

The problem with some yards that have permanent pins welded to the side of the panel is that if you are on uneven ground which you invariably are the panels just won't sit level and quite often you will end up with one leg being held up in the air. This is because the pins are pulling one panel in towards the other.

By inserting pins into a bracket it allows the panel to turn in any direction, tilt on uneven ground and enables you to use any panel as a gate.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I don't blame you. I know we need the rain, but I am getting a bit sick of it now and it has been SO cold. I probably wouldn't mind as much if I had sand on my arena but it is mud and the ponies end up skating around it lol.

Let me know how you go with them.

Hi,

I haven't sent one to Narre Warren Nth as yet, but have sent a set to Mulgrave which is 20 minutes from you and that cost $40, so will be around that price. I can ring and get an exact quote in the morning if you are interested.

Cheers

Hi Alanna,

Yeah absolutely, let me know when you want to drop in and we will have a couple of sets there for you to look at.

I am on the hunt for a float, so as soon as I get one I will put some pictures up of them mounted on the side of the float.

Cheers
Jodie
